Time gentlemen, please

Friday, September 4th, 2009

That’s it for today.  23 players left with 28k average chips.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

41 players will resume tomorrow where we’ll play down to the final 9.  Full chip counts to follow shortly.

Peter Arrigoni out

Friday, September 4th, 2009

His K8 runs into the 86 of Matthew Hopkins in the blinds.  Peter hits top pair on the flop, but Matthew makes two.  Matthew up to 25k.

Level 8

Friday, September 4th, 2009

Blinds 400-800 ante 50

(only around 20 mins of this level to play and we stop for the day - matches yesterday’s finish time)

Doublers

Friday, September 4th, 2009

Alot of short stacks out there now.  These two guys just doubled up:

Derek Gamlin with JJ’s against 99’s of Adam Latimer

Craig Swattom with QQ’s against 33’s

Skalie takes out two

Friday, September 4th, 2009

John “Derek” Miller moves in, needing to make a stand with his pittance of a stack.  Jon “Skalie” Kalmar raises to get it headsup, but Richard Wilcox comes along for the ride and he’s all-in for 6k.

On their backs:

John has 67; Jon has A9; Rich has KhQh (pretty)

999’s full of ACES for the WSOP finalist and we’re down to 26

Anthony Hughes out

Friday, September 4th, 2009

He raises with AK in position on the button but runs into a flat call from Tobias Huber in the BB.  He has K9, that sneaky boy.  Toby has made two pair Kings and 99’s by the turn when the moolar gets moved.  The board comes KT59J and it’s Toby doing the calling down.
